Meet your Practitioner

I am Stephanie, a Registered Nurse on the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) register, with over 13 years experience within the NHS.

Over many years, my interest in Aesthetic Nursing and Advanced Skincare grew alongside my NHS nursing career, leading me to pursue specialised training in Aesthetic Nursing. After lots of research, I completed training at a medic-only training academy called SkinViva in Manchester owned by Dr Tim, as highly respected doctor within the Aesthetics field. I have also completed courses within advanced skincare and work with the pHformula brand as a skin specialist.

Aesthetic Nursing has enlightened a passion that allows me to merge my dedication to patient care with my enthusiasm for enhancing confidence through natural-looking aesthetic procedures and advanced skincare treatments. Combining my clinical expertise with a personalised approach, I am committed to helping individuals achieve their aesthetic skin goals while maintaining a focus on health and well-being.

Skills and Nursing Experience

My nursing carer began in 2014 when I graduated after 3 years at University gaining a BSc (Hons) in Adult Nursing and became a Registered Nurse on the NMC register. My nursing career started in an NHS Acute Trust on a surgical vascular ward. In 2015, I transitioned to Community Nursing adapting my nursing skills to lone-working within patients homes and running a wound care clinic. In 2018, I advanced to the role of Senior Community Nurse, where I continue to work within the NHS.

My day-to-day life within the NHS consists myself of having skills in multiple areas covering: subcutaneous injections, intramuscular injections, hormonal implants, urinary and bowel care, surgical and traumatic wound care, leg ulcer care in the community and running a clinic, advanced doppler assessment skills, suture and clip removal, drug calculation and assessment, palliative symptom control and end of life care within peoples homes. Alongside these clinical nursing skills, in my role as a Senior Community Nurse I also demonstrate leadership and management skills, helping to lead a team working alongside nurses and healthcare assistants, use problem solving skills for complex scenarios and emergency situations, have an ability to work under pressure and in challenging situations, complete management tasks and finally, I supervise, support and teach student nurses assessing them in their placements in the community setting.

All of the skills and experience acquired in community nursing, such as precision, ability to make lone-working decisions, comprehensive patient assessment, and personalised care, are highly transferable and valuable in aesthetic nursing, ensuring safe, effective, and tailored treatments for each client.
